Planned electrical maintenance on machinery, motors, drives, switchboards and control circuits.
Electrical maintenanceShift cover
Industrial electricians when your maintenance team is short. Leave, vacancies, extra shifts, project workload.
Shift coverShutdowns & planned maintenance
Additional electrical labour for planned downtime, scoped and prepared before the plant stops.

What we work on
Electrical work on the plant itself rather than only the building around it. If your site runs production equipment, this is the equipment we deal with.
- Production machinery and process equipment
- Motors, starters, overloads and motor control circuits
- Variable speed drives, including configuration and replacement
- Switchboards, MCCs and power distribution
- Control circuits, relays and contactors
- Sensors, actuators, field devices and field wiring
- PLC controlled machinery, on the electrical and controls side
- Safety circuits, e-stops, guard switches and safety relays
- Electrical equipment in classified hazardous areas associated with combustible dust
Equipment we work across regularly:
How it usually starts
How sites use us
Most sites come to Sparktech one of three ways. Something has stopped and they need it diagnosed. A shutdown is coming and the team cannot cover it and keep the rest of the site running. Or the electrical maintenance has been slipping and they want it back on a schedule.
From there the work usually broadens. A site we attend for breakdowns is a site we already know when a project comes up, and findings from planned maintenance are what tend to fill the next shutdown list.
There is no obligation to start with an arrangement. Plenty of sites call us for one job and take it from there.

Sites we support
Our background is heaviest in food and beverage and manufacturing, which is where most of our work still comes from.

On site
We work to your systems, not our own
Every site runs differently, and an electrical contractor is only useful if it fits into how yours already works rather than running things independently.
- Site inductions and site-specific rules
- Permit to work systems
- Isolation, lockout, tagout and verification procedures
- Your electrical safety procedures
- Work orders and tasks as scheduled by the site
- Coordination with your maintenance team and other trades
- Reporting back to your maintenance supervisor or engineering team
- Completing the job documentation your site requires
Work is documented as it is completed: certificates of testing and compliance where the work requires one, test result sheets, and job reports with photos.
